J Residence

The 3-room villa was spacious, kitchen well equipped with crockeries and utensils, all bedrooms with attached toilets, natural surrounding with many birds, all bedrooms with twin beds & proximity to the main entrance of Kinabalu National Park.

Providing it's a resort for nature lovers, all in all it was a good experience. Actually it was better than we thought as it was cleaner in the room and there was decent warm water in the shower, so, providing you're staying in the mountains walking distance from the national park Kinabalu, it was incredible. As a bonus, there's very good and reasonably priced restaurant nearby. The territory is clean and pleasant. Providing it's very humid and a little chilly in the area it's helpful that for additional fee you can rent an additional blanket.

Great location - it's an easy walk to the park headquarters and there are superb views of the valley from the guesthouse. There's no restaurant so without a car you'd be limited to the very fine Tahubang restaurant opposite the park gate for food (Box Hotel has a restaurant but we didn't try it). Friendly staff and spacious rooms with comfy beds.

Beautiful manmade scenery. Hospitality is superb.definitely going back to sabah for that alone. Toilet is not fully enclosed.as if u r taking bath w crickets
